The explosion of young glass designers since the Velvet Revolution here in the Czech Republic has not only overwhelmed production capacity, but initiated a sense of design competition that's been very positive for the craft. For decades, this talent was hidden from the regime - held captive within the mind of the artist and unable to find its voice. Those days, as our selections prove, are long behind us.

Our pledge is to always choose from among the best designers and producers.
